This project’s interior solutions were inspired by its location. Set on a picturesque lake in the suburbs of Manchester, the UK, the house was instantly seen by us as a continuation of its beautiful surroundings.

Customers wanted to create a fusion between Japandi-style interior design and pure minimalism, so here we found a place for both minimalistic and Japanese trends.

The palette evokes memories of a sandy beach, but not under a scorching sun, but rather on an autumn day, where the sea gives a pleasant feeling of solitude, and the colors are less garish, but the hues are deeper. We designed the interior to present a haven from the often-gloomy weather outside, so we filled the space with soft and warm local light and sensual art objects.

The owners are art-lovers who love to entertain guests, so they needed a truly unique space. For instance, we created a specially designated room for making drinks, where the hosts could spend time in a chat with a small group of special guests.

The materials in decor play the main role. Each surface asks for a touch, with a combination of such complex textures as plaster, travertine, rough metal and silky wood giving the interior a unique feel on both visual and kinesthetic levels.
